Coach Rodrick Lopez– Head Programmer/Coach

B.S. of Kinesiology from California State Fullerton
Coach Rodrick holds a B.S. in Kinesiology from Cal State University of Fullerton. He has been an avid CrossFitter for 7 years and has been coaching for 6 years. He specializes in human movement and nutrition for sports performance as he has a profound understanding of both.
Rodrick has worked closely with world-renowned Olympic Weightlifting coach Patrick Cullen-Carroll. He has been tutored by CrossFit Games level coaches and other top athletes known well throughout the CrossFit community.
Rodrick is equally versed as a group coach and personal coach. Highly experienced and knowledgeable, he can help you achieve your personal fitness goals.

Coach Shawna started her CrossFitting journey in October of 2012. She joined for some “cross training” to compliment her running- at the time she was an ultra-marathoner. She tried to share her energies between the two sports, but eventually, her love for CrossFit won out. She gave up the trails and the extreme long distances and plunged headfirst into becoming the best lifter and crossfitter she could be.
CrossFit introduced her to a love of coaching, mobility, functional movement, clean eating, and a passion for helping others achieve health and movement in their own lives. CrossFit has given her more than she could ever imagine- it has shown her who she is, who she wants to be, and has made her part of an amazing community that is beyond explanation.
Shawna is now a CrossFit coach, holds a B.S. in Kinesiology, and she currently works with clients to provide nutrition and fitness/personal training.
Coach Ashley Mercado– Swim Coach/ CF Coach

Ashley grew up playing sports (team & individual) competitively. Soccer, track & field, swimming, softball, weight lifting; you name it and Ashley was there. After 5+ years as a lifeguard and Red Cross Certified Swim Instructor, Ashley graduated with a B.S. in Engineering and found herself sitting at a desk for 40 hours a week. Seeking to continue to lead an active lifestyle and an internal drive to grow mentally and physically, Ashley sought out CrossFit as a new challenge in 2014.
After a couple of years of CrossFit, Ashley had a desire to learn the fundamentals behind CrossFit movements and the methodology to teach others and obtained her L1. Ashley believes that moving well and honing in technique is the key to continued progress as a CrossFit Athlete. After following other competitive training programs, Ashley realized the areas she truly needed to focus on were often overlooked in the programming. She believes in the foundation behind CFT and that as women, we have to focus on what works for us in order to succeed.
